At our first missionary meeting of 2026 we were pleased to welcome John and Pauline Tuff of Tanzanian Christian Farm Development Trust. They are home as John requires medical attention for a heart rhythm disorder.

Pauline with the aid of audio visual brought us up to date with progress of some of the disabled children at the orphanage. Jacqueline, a 5 year-old has walking difficulties but is learning to get about with her walking aids. Youran a 6 year-old has cerebral palsy, he uses a wheelchair and is non-verbal. Davdi is 4 years old. He is albino, smaller than the other children and is a happy little chappie, he must wear skin protection. Pascal came to the home as a 4 year-old, has learning difficulties but is progressing. Baraka has a sickle cell blood disorder and requires constant transfusions but is well monitored. Little Ibram’s mother disappeared leaving his father to look after a severely disabled child. The father couldn’t cope and brought him to the orphanage, sadly Ibram passed away in hospital in January. His father a Muslim wanted a Christian funeral and many of the town’s folk came to the service.

There are 50 children resident in the orphanage 20 of whom have trusted Christ as Saviour.

John brought us up to date with news from the campus. In 2023 because of the very poor standard of education in the government schools, plans were initiated to build a primary school on site at a cost of £300,000. Some lacked faith but God's people provided the necessary finance and the new school building opened on 13 January 2026 with 40 pupils from the orphanage and a further 55 fee paying students from the surrounding area. This money provides the finances for the running costs of the school.

A yellow school bus has been chartered to provide transport to and from the school. This causes great excitement --- the school bus is very popular. All the school textbooks, jotters etc were purchased locally and Pauline and her team of willing little helpers have backed them to keep them in good condition.

The children are also enjoying the new playground and equipment at the school.

A Ballymena charity provided 4 very large water storage tanks. 2 of these have been installed at the school site and are a great boon. The other 2 yet to be installed. A new administration block is well under construction and will soon be completed.

Jerry and Gabriel are the new farm managers. They have a big task of providing vegetables and grain for the orphanage and school. Please pray for more favourable weather conditions as unpredictable rain fall is causing a problem washing away planted crops. Monkeys are a big scourge as they can destroy large areas of produce in a short time!

John and Pauline have been serving God for 13 years at Kazima and count it a privilege to serve God where He has placed them.

John shared with us from Galatians Ch 5 v 13  “By love serve one another.”

John Ch 12 v 26 “If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be; If any man serve me, him will my Father honour.”

Serving the Lord helps to shape us into the type of person He wants us to be.

1Cor Ch 15 v 58 “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much a ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

Gifts of time and patience all matter as we seek to extend Christ’s kingdom.

Rom Ch 12 v 11 “Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;”

John Wesley’s quotation sums it up –

“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can”.
